- Will painted cabinets chip?
- Good prep and a cabinet-grade coating hold up to daily use. Chips happen when paint goes over grease or old finish without proper sanding and priming, which is why prep takes longest.
- Can oak cabinets be painted without the grain showing?
- The grain can be filled before priming so it reads smooth. It adds a step. Some people prefer to let a little grain show.
